SYDNEY

Monday 16 February

7.00am – Oriana will make her way into Sydney Harbour. She will dock at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay at 8am before departing at midnight.

Friday 20 February

6.30pm – Arcadia will arrive in Sydney Harbour, docking at the Overseas Passenger Terminal.

Arcadia will remain in Sydney over night, departing on Saturday 21 February at midnight.

Please note: there will be no fireworks display as part of the visit.

Sunday 1 March

From 6.30am – Aurora will make her way into Sydney Harbour, anchoring at Point Piper Buoy at 7.00am then berth at the Overseas Passenger Terminal at 9.00pm. She will remain in Sydney overnight, departing on Monday 2 March at 6pm.

VANTAGE POINTS

The best points to view the ships entering Sydney Harbour are from North and South Head.

Vantage points include Bradfield Park, Cremorne Point, Bennelong Point. Bradley’s Head, Dawes Point and Mrs Macquaries Point.

The Royal Botanic Gardens open from 7am until sunset.

Please note: Due to maritime regulations, there will be no public access to either ship or the surrounding port facilities.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS

People making their way to view the ships at any time between 16 February – 1 March are encouraged to leave their car at home and use public transport to avoid potential traffic delays.

Travelling by Train

The closest stations to vantage points include Milsons Point, Kings Cross, St James and Circular Quay stations. CityRail will operate to normal weekend and weekday timetables.

Travelling by Bus

Sydney Buses will operate to normal weekend and weekday timetables.

Travelling by Ferry

Sydney Ferries will operate to normal weekend and weekday timetables.

Roads

There will be no public access to the passenger ships and no parking in the vicinity, so we recommend you leave the car at home and catch public transport.

Special event clearways will operate in the Sydney CBD. For more information go to www.rta.nsw.gov.au

Motorists should also be aware that it may be necessary for Police to close some CBD roads. If you choose to drive, expect delays and allow extra travel time.

Recreational Boats

A 60 metre exclusion zone will apply while these ships are in Sydney Harbour. Other geographic exclusion zones may apply. Visit www.maritime.nsw.gov.au for more information.

MELBOURNE

Wednesday 18 February

From 4.30am – Arcadia arrives into Port Phillip before docking at Station Pier at 8am before departing at 6pm.

VANTAGE POINTS

The best places to see Arcadia as she enters Port Phillip Bay are along the coastline from Brighton to St Kilda. She is expected to dock at Station Pier at around 8am. Station Pier will be closed to the public so enjoy the views from beaches along Port Phillip Bay.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Enjoy the ride to Port Phillip Bay on Melbourne’s trains, trams and buses to view the stunning Arcadia.

BRISBANE

Wednesday 18 February

From 7am – Oriana sails into Brisbane River, docking at Portside Wharf at 8am where she remains for the day. Oriana will depart Brisbane at 6pm.

Friday 27 February

From 7am – Aurora makes her way into the Brisbane River, docking at 8am. She will then depart Brisbane at 6pm.

VANTAGE POINTS

A viewing platform is located on Level 2, alongside Gianni Events in the Portside Wharf precinct.

Monday 23 February

From 7.30am – Arcadia sails into Brisbane River to dock at the Fisherman Island Wharf. Arcadia will remain in Brisbane for the day, departing at 6am.

VANTAGE POINTS

The place to view Arcadia is from the north side of the Brisbane River at Piped Road, Pinkenba (Refidex map no. 122).

For security reasons, you cannot view the vessel at the Port of Brisbane. Please do not go directly to the port. You will be redirected to the view area on the North side of the river.

PERTH

Thursday 12 February

From 7am – Arcadia will make her way into Fremantle Harbour. She will dock at the Fremantle Passenger Terminal at 8am before departing at 6pm.

VANTAGE POINTS

The best place to view Arcadia entering or leaving the harbour is on the western end of Victoria Quay (at the Ferry Terminal, between A and B Sheds, or near the Maritime Museum) or on South or North Moles.

ADELAIDE

Monday 16 February

From 7am – Arcadia will sail towards Outer Harbour, docking at 8am. She will remain in Adelaide until 6pm.
